Calgary’s tech scene is stepping onto the international stage this week as local companies showcase Alberta innovation at Birmingham Tech Week, the UK’s largest regional tech festival and conference.
Supported by Calgary Economic Development (CED), the trade mission connects Alberta entrepreneurs with global investors, partners, and policymakers while promoting Calgary’s fast-growing technology ecosystem.
The delegation includes Taste the City, CG Hylton, Unbounded Thinking, and Robin—companies that reflect Alberta’s expanding strengths in artificial intelligence, digital transformation, and frontier technologies.
“Calgary Economic Development’s support has been instrumental in helping these companies gain international exposure,” said a member of the Calgary delegation. “Events like Birmingham Tech Week help position our city as a global innovation hub and open new doors for trade, investment, and talent.”
With Alberta innovators on display, Calgary is reinforcing its reputation as a global player in technology, investment, and entrepreneurship.
For this mission, Calgary Economic Development is supported by the Government of Alberta and Trade Commissioner Service.
