Calgary’s innovation community will gather next week as Community Connect returns on February 19, launching the 2026 edition of Platform Calgary’s monthly networking and thought-leadership series.
The kickoff event will feature Alberta’s Minister of Technology & Innovation Nate Glubish, who will outline provincial priorities for the tech sector in a keynote address. The afternoon will also include the official unveiling of Platform Calgary’s 2025 Impact Report, offering a look back at the organization’s progress and a preview of what’s ahead for the ecosystem.
A panel discussion bringing together leaders from across Calgary’s business and startup landscape will follow the keynote. Participants include Calgary Chamber of Commerce CEO Deborah Yedlin, Calgary Economic Development CEO Brad Parry, and The51 co-founder Judy Fairburn, with Platform Calgary interim CEO Jennifer Lussier moderating the conversation.
Held at the Platform Innovation Centre, Community Connect is designed as a recurring gathering point for founders, operators, investors, and ecosystem partners to share updates, build relationships, and spark collaboration. The lunch-hour format blends networking with policy and economic insights, positioning the series as an ongoing pulse-check on Calgary’s innovation economy.
Community Connect takes place February 19 from 11:45 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the West Hall and KPMG Pitch Stage at the Platform Innovation Centre.
