In the crowded online automotive marketplace space, Calgary’s HeyAuto continues to innovate to set themselves apart.
Incubated out of the Vivid Theory studio in Calgary, HeyAuto is Canada’s newest and fastest-growing online automobile “ecosystem” for car owners and auto dealers.
HeyAuto has now launched Glovebox, a secure vault for storing valuable digital vehicle records. Glovebox also serves as a platform for consumers to engage more meaningfully with automobile dealerships.
“The Glovebox concept was born from the need to revolutionize the currently disconnected car ownership experience,” said Brent Lane, Chief Executive Officer of HeyAuto and a co-founder at Vivid Theory.
“We know people have loose receipts, warranties, and all manner of other automotive related material with deadlines and expiration dates. So we thought why not have all of that information stored in one digitized space that also provides connected tools related to the buying and selling of a car?”
With Glovebox, consumers can store car purchase, repair, and maintenance records and receipts securely in one place, digitally, and receive timely notices for any maintenance or recalls.
Consumers interested in selling their car can use Glovebox to discover the trade-in value of their vehicle and confidentially post their vehicle for sale to attract multiple offers from a variety of dealers.
The Glovebox feature also provides unique value to automobile dealerships by enabling meaningful engagement with car buyers, driving value into the dealership.
Dealers have access to a growing number of private car sellers, allowing them to add to their inventory while engaging with new and current customers. This engagement presents re-marketing opportunities from providing initial trade-in values to car sellers, to increasing both customer loyalty and retention via the HeyAuto automated customer connection funnel.
In a sense, Glovebox will be bringing technology to a physical product that has yet to have a digital home.
