The OKGN Angel Summit officially kicked off earlier this month with an investment fund of $225,000 on the table for one courageous startup.
The uniquely elevated pitch program guides Okanagan-based investors and startups from across Western Canada through the capital-raising process as part of a Dragon’s Den-style selection process culminating in a public Grand Finale.
The group of 43 angel investors have been meeting week-over-week to review 45+ applications from companies across Western Canada.
The investors have narrowed it down to the Top 24 startups that will deliver their first 3 minute pitch at the Quarter Finals in hopes of continuing their journey toward the $225K investment.
Among the 24 startups are two from Calgary, Earthware and EZ-ROBOT.
Earthware is a return-for-reuse takeout container service that was recently named one of Canada’s most investable cleantech companies.
EZ-Robot is on a mission to equip students with the robotics and A.I. skills needed for a changing technological world.
The last company standing will be awarded an investment fund of up to $250,000 on March 16th, 2023.
