Calgary’s Benevity, a global provider of corporate social responsibility solutions, announced over $140 million was donated to nonprofits through its platform on GivingTuesday. This milestone was supported by 637 companies.
More than 148,000 individuals contributed to over 56,000 nonprofits across 122 countries and territories. Benevity reported a 2% year-over-year increase in donation dollars per donor. Popular causes included St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, American Red Cross, Doctors Without Borders, and United Way Greater Toronto.
“This year’s GivingTuesday results highlight the corporate community’s commitment to doing good by aligning corporate influence with employee-driven purpose,” said Christopher Maloof, CEO of Benevity.
Volunteer efforts also saw significant growth, with almost 260,000 hours logged by more than 21,000 individuals – a 17% increase in participation compared to 2023.
