Calgary’s downtown core will soon be home to a new premium coworking space as Pavilion Cowork expands beyond British Columbia for the first time.
The company, known for its high-end, community-focused workspaces in Vancouver, is opening a 14,906-square-foot location at 550 6th Avenue SW in Fall 2025.
The Calgary hub will feature 47 private offices and four meeting rooms, and will be directly connected to the city’s Plus 15 skywalk and CRT transit line. It marks a significant milestone for Pavilion, which has built a strong reputation in Vancouver for blending design-forward office space with a thriving entrepreneurial community.
“Building a business is tough enough—you shouldn’t have to do it alone,” said Herman Kwee, President of Alabaster Homes, Pavilion’s parent company. “With our expansion, we’re excited to welcome even more Canadian entrepreneurs into our community and help them take their businesses to the next level.”
The Calgary launch comes alongside the announcement of another Vancouver location, Pavilion’s third in the city, opening Summer 2025 at 564 Beatty Street. That 5,500-square-foot space will include 18 private offices, 16 dedicated desks, and two meeting rooms, designed to meet strong ongoing demand at Pavilion’s fully-booked Mount Pleasant locations.
Pavilion is also relaunching its popular Residency Program, offering eight startups free office space for four months—three in Vancouver and five in Calgary. The initiative, which previously supported local success stories like Monos, Fable Home, and Blume, now includes marketing perks such as professional photography and video support.
Applications are open until May 15th for Vancouver and July 31st for Calgary. Selection criteria focus on innovation, resilience, and community impact.
Founded in 2019, Pavilion is a sister company to Alabaster Homes, the Vancouver-based boutique homebuilder known for townhomes, rentals, condos, and now commercial ventures. With this latest move, Pavilion is doubling down on its mission to support Canada’s next generation of entrepreneurs.
