Collisions YYC, Calgary’s leading business and tech podcast, will celebrate its 500th episode with a live event on May 5 at the Telus Convention Centre’s Macleod Hall.
Running from 4:30 to 8:00 p.m., the evening will feature two panel discussions with some of the city’s most respected voices in entrepreneurship, energy, and innovation—and will support the Calgary Food Bank through ticket proceeds.
Calgary Mayor Jyoti Gondek is set to attend, alongside business leaders such as Brad Zumwalt (Zinc Ventures), Nannette Ho-Covernton (Energy Transition Centre), Darcy Tuer (ZayZoon), Danny Labelle (formerly Hammerhead Energy), Josh Rainbow (FutureSummit), and Chelsea Hallick (Calgary Economic Development). The conversations will be moderated by Collisions YYC founder and host Tyler Chisholm.
Launched in 2019 by Chisholm—who is also Co-Founder and CEO at clearmotive marketing—and Kevin Crowe of Longview Systems, Collisions YYC was created to spotlight the quiet but powerful transformation happening in Calgary’s economy.
What began as a way to spark conversation has evolved into a platform that explores the shifting dynamics of innovation across Alberta, giving voice to changemakers and underrepresented perspectives.
With hundreds of guests and hours of thoughtful discussion, the podcast continues to shine a light on the city’s evolving identity. “Whether you’re a business executive, a tech innovator, or just a curious Calgarian, Collisions YYC reveals the innovation and support networks shaping our future,” says Chisholm.
More information and tickets are available through the event site, CYYC 500 Club.
