Calgary-based Blackline Safety, a leader in connected safety technology, has won three international awards recognizing its industry-leading real-time connectivity. The company received one award from Connected Britain and two from Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S).
OH&S honored Blackline Safety’s G6 single-gas wearable detector as the new product of the year in two categories: Industrial Hygiene: Instruments Gas Monitors/Instrumentation and Wearable Technology. This recognition follows a significant upgrade to the G6 late last year, which introduced real-time connectivity and an emergency SOS feature. Over the past 11 years, Blackline Safety has won 12 awards from OH&S for its product innovations.
Connected Britain awarded Blackline Safety with the Industrial Innovation award for improving lives through the real-time connectivity of its devices. This feature, available across Blackline’s range of wearable and area monitoring devices, alerts monitoring personnel immediately if dangerous conditions are detected.
Blackline Safety CEO and Chair, Cody Slater, expressed pride in the company’s accomplishments: “We are honored that Blackline Safety, and G6 specifically, are receiving international attention for product and innovation. Our game-changing technology revolutionized the industry and continues to transform the industrial workplace through connectivity and technology.”
The OH&S awards recognize outstanding product development achievements by health and safety manufacturers whose products improve workplace safety. Similarly, the Connected Britain awards celebrate organizations and solutions that enhance lives through connectivity.
Slater concluded, “Our products and services have set the new standard for safety, and we continue to innovate, driven by our mission to make sure every worker has the confidence to do their job and get home safely at the end of the day.”
