Alberta Catalyzer helped kick off Innovation Week YYC by hosting their Southern Alberta Velocity Showcase at the Platform Innovation Centre on November 13th.
The Velocity showcase is the culmination of an eight-week program where entrepreneurs work with industry experts and coaches to take their business to the next level in establishing a strong go-to-market strategy, polishing their pitches, and working towards qualifying for scale-up accelerators.
Nine impressive startups from their 13th cohort took the stage to share their three-minute pitches with an audience of investors, industry leaders, and fellow entrepreneurs.

- EventPaddy, Abiodun Odunyi – An all-in-one platform to streamline community events.
- Interview Pal, Aryan Panchal – Revolutionizing job preparation with AI-driven mock interviews.
- Fitzba, Alana Baxter – Helping small businesses thrive with a platform for shopping local.
- Hoodo, Mary Llaneta – Transforming dealership operations with real-time transparency.
- Educify, Oluwaseun Adegunju – Delivering personalized tutoring for students and lifelong learners.
- Weciny, Farbod Jamali – Strengthening neighborhood connections through private community platforms.
- Smile and Co, Morgan Sylvain – Bridging the gap for dental clinics with pre-vetted professionals.
- Right, Pavel Bondarev – Guiding students in financial and lifestyle planning with AI.
These founders are tackling diverse challenges with bold solutions, and the room was buzzing with excitement and support as their visions came to life.
