Helcim’s Manager of People & Culture, Cheryl Hooper, recommends learning what it’s like to work at Helcim before applying, “every company is unique, and every company has different expectations of what excelling means, which is true for Helcim”.
Among the resources available to job seekers doing their research on Helcim are The Way of the Helcim culture handbook, their corporate culture video, and tips on how to get hired.
“When you start looking for a job you’ll love, understanding the culture is #1. It’s not just about the job or the work – it’s the team, the energy, and the drive to work with passionate people that will keep you energized and engaged,” shares Hooper.
“Spending time understanding the work environment upfront can save you a lot of time, and even prevent you from taking a misstep in your career. Don’t underestimate the importance of this step; start-ups aren’t for everybody.”
One thing that is abundantly clear about Helcim’s startup culture is that you’re going to need a sense of humor to work there. And if you do, you may become a video star.

“We’re calling it Helcim Remote-Remote Work. The initiative leverages cutting edge VR technology, and allows our employees to truly feel like they are conducting their work from home while physically being in the office,” Founder & CEO Nic Beique explains.
Don’t worry, Helcim is still operating using a hybrid work model where employees can spend 2 days in your actual home and 3 days in their collaborative, vibrant, and apparently quite funny office.
