PITCH is Collision’s startup competition that brings together the world’s leading early-stage startups to battle it out onstage.
Among the 70 startups to get stage time in Toronto at Collision 2023 is one from Alberta. After a two rounds of pitching that company has landed itself one of three spots in the PITCH final.
Calgary’s Syzl is a fast-growing platform revolutionizing the food industry by connecting food makers with under-utilized commercial kitchen spaces.
Syzl’s mission is to empower culinary entrepreneurs with accessible, cost-effective kitchen solutions, fostering innovation and growth in the food gig economy.
Syzl is part of the ALPHA stream, a home for startups that are in the pre-investment stage or have under $1 million in funding.
“We believe in food makers. From world-renowned chefs making headlines to amateur cooks selling signature homemade dishes from food carts, those who prepare our food are the backbone of our culture,” according to Syzl.
“Unfortunately, food makers often face a huge problem: finding the right kitchen. Once you have a concept for your business, it can be a slow, costly process to find a professional kitchen with the right equipment, in the right area, at the right time, for the right price.”
Cheer on Syzl’s CEO and Co-founder Azrah Manji-Savin on Thursday, June 29th at 12:30pm EST as they pitch a VC panel that includes Wesley Chan of FPV Ventures, Mary D’Onofrio of Bessemer Venture Partners, and John Ruffolo of Maverix Private Equity.
