Calgary’s economic future is getting brighter because tech start-ups and global companies are establishing a new quantum hub, right here. From nanotechnology and artificial intelligence to quantum internet and biomedical engineering – Calgary is becoming a true quantum capital city.
Last month the University of Calgary formed a strategic partnership with the Government of Alberta and Mphasis to establish Quantum City.
Quantum City’s mission is to establish quantum-focused fabrication infrastructure, new talent development programs and commercialization pathways to support the development of a vibrant economic and scientific hub based in Calgary.
One of Quantum City’s first initiatives is qConnect 2023, the only summit focused directly on connecting quantum technology entrepreneurs with the industries they aim to serve and transform.
qConnect 2023 is a unique event that will bring together quantum creators and users. Over two days, top speakers from industry, academia and government will speak on how and why businesses should prepare for the risks and benefits of quantum.
Co-hosted by Quantum City & The Quantum Major Innovation Fund Project (QMP), qConnect 2023 takes places on November 16th and 17th at the Calgary TELUS Convention Centre. Register online to participate.
