A tech startup from Calgary is gaining traction with its digital event planning platform that offers tools designed to streamline the planning process for both private and corporate events.
The online toolkit from PartyLabz enables hosts to create customizable event websites in a matter of minutes. Features include management of guest lists, RSVP tracking, communication options via email or text, and the creation of signup lists for event-related activities.
A key component of PartyLabz’s offering is the ability to RSVP via a toll-free SMS or call service, which aims to make attendance confirmation more accessible, especially for those who may not be as comfortable with traditional online forms.
The Alberta company has also introduced other features intended to keep events organized and engaging, such as automated reminders, polls for feedback, a shared photo gallery, and a module for organizing gift exchanges.
And in addition to its core services, the platform provides tools for event hosts to establish and enforce policies, such as requiring the acceptance of waivers and disclaimers by guests.
The company promises “unparalleled convenience and seamless event planning.”
Future enhancements that cofounder Sergey Demidenko intends to add to the platform include website templates that can be shared, as well as powerful budgeting tools.
Originally founded in 2015, PartyLabz is among the latest startups in the Alberta Catalyzer Velocity in Southern Alberta.
Taking place on the eve of Calgary Innovation Week, the Alberta Catalyzer Velocity South Showcase on November 14 kicks off the biggest week of the year for the Calgary tech ecosystem.
The Velocity showcase is the culmination of an eight-week program where entrepreneurs work with industry experts and coaches to take their business to the next level in establishing a strong go-to-market strategy, polishing their pitches, and working towards qualifying for scale-up accelerators.
