An advanced humanoid robot will be both attendee and exhibition at this year’s INVENTURE$.
Each May, INVENTURE$ brings industry leaders, angel investors, and venture capitalists under one roof in Calgary.
Last year, with a theme of “Innovation Overdrive,” a record 3,000 participants spurred “our most successful event yet,” according to Laura Kilcrease.
Kilcrease, who serves as chief executive of Alberta Innovates, will engage with humanoid robot Ameca in a fireside chat on INVENTURE$ main stage.
Developed by the UK’s Engineered Arts as a platform for future robotics tech, Ameca is preparing to participate in conversation with Kilcrease.
“We are thrilled that Ameca will join us as a feature speaker at Inventures,” the CEO stated.
AI is making robotics “incredibly realistic,” Kilcrease observes.
“It is that intersection between artificial intelligence and an artificial body that allows us to consider the possibilities of the future,” she stated.
Ameca’s hotly anticipated fireside chat is one session among “Three unforgettable days of smashing the status quo.” There are at least 150 sessions and panels in total.
INVENTURE$ was launched in 2018 as a global innovation experience hosted by Alberta Innovates to connect the world’s brightest minds and investors.
“Ameca is just one of the remarkable things you’ll see at Inventures,” Kilcrease continued. “Join us in May and be amazed and inspired.”
This year, Alberta Innovates forecasts 4,000 attendees from more than 30 countries will attend.
For the 2024 edition of INVENTURE$, tickets are $749 or $99 for students.
