3 Calgary Startups Named to List of Canada’s Most Innovative Tech Companies

The Canadian Innovation Exchange has announced the recipients of this year’s prestigious CIX Top 20 Early and Top 10 Growth awards.

These awards celebrate the remarkable achievements of Canadian tech companies at both early and growth stages.

Selected by a committee of 150+ esteemed global investors, this year’s winners represent various industries, including climate technology, renewable energy, medtech, fintech, e-commerce, security, big data, and software.

Among the Top 10 Growth award recipients are three startups that call Calgary home.

PurposeMed

PurposeMed aims to improve access to complex care for at-risk and underserved communities in Canada.

PurposeMed was founded on the belief that virtual care can level the healthcare playing field, ensuring equal access to quality services irrespective of social status, income, ethnicity, sex, or ability.

Symend

Symend is a leading SaaS company that turns difficult conversations and everyday moments into positive experiences across the entire customer journey.

Symend’s Behavioral Engagement Platform delivers digital experiences that are hyper-personalized based on the science behind consumer behavior. By adapting as customers change, Symend helps top enterprises create and keep customers for life.

ZayZoon

ZayZoon is a financial empowerment platform for SMBs that improves productivity, employee retention and recruitment.

ZayZoon provides Wages On-Demand so employees can access to their earned wages before payday, and a financial wellness platform that teaches employees how to use those wages wisely and efficiently.

This year’s CIX program culminates with the CIX Summit, an annual conference showcasing Canada’s most promising early stage and scaling startups. The CIX Summit takes place from March 26-27, 2024 in downtown Toronto.
