Calgary Tech Companies Earn Awards at Global Energy Show Canada

Global Energy Show Canada’s awards were announced at its annual event and a number of Alberta-based companies were recognized for outstanding achievements.

The annual event focuses on technology, innovation, and sustainability in the energy industry. It took place at Calgary’s newly expanded BMO Centre in Stampede Park from June 11 to 13.

The awards shine a spotlight on companies which have been at the forefront in leadership, sustainable solutions, and promoting the healthy advancement of the industry.

Disruptive Digital Innovator: PrePad

Calgary’s PrePad is a cloud-based software that enhances engineering efficiency in drilling and completions for shale oil and gas operators. By providing precise and efficient cost and time estimation solutions, the company replaces time-consuming in-house methods, enabling operators to achieve in minutes what traditionally takes weeks or months. This innovation maximizes profitability and streamlines operations for the energy sector.

Collaborative Trendsetter: OptiSeis Solutions

Founded in 2011, Calgary’s OptiSeis Solutions addresses the evolving seismic exploration landscape with high-quality, integrated customer service and data-driven designs for high-resolution seismic images. Known for their attention to detail and cost-effective technology, it consistently delivers target-focused results despite increasing infrastructure constraints. The company’s expanding suite of services continues to push geophysical boundaries locally and internationally.

Innovation in Technologies: Nanoprecise

Edmonton-based Nanoprecise Sci Corp offers AI-based predictive maintenance solutions, detecting early machine operation changes to prevent production impacts and downtime. Specializing in AI and IIoT technology, the company reduces manufacturing plants’ carbon footprints. Its platform sets industry standards in monitoring and analytics for industrial machines, enhancing energy efficiency and health analytics.

Suzanne West Environmental Excellence Award: Eavor

Calgary’s Eavor has developed a breakthrough geothermal power technology that addresses traditional geothermal challenges.
