Ten years ago, EasyRedir launched as the first dedicated URL redirect service on the market.
Entering 2025, the Calgary company has a new identity: urllo.
As the technology services provider celebrates its tenth anniversary, the freshly rebranded urllo serves over 1,000 clients across 75 countries and manages 18 billion redirects annually for clients such as IKEA, Porsche, and Cheesecake Factory.
“After 10 years of pioneering URL redirection, I’m thrilled to introduce urllo,” wrote founder and chief executive William Richards in a blog post. “This change is more than a rebrand; it’s a reflection of everything we’ve learned from our customers, how far we’ve come and where we’re going next.”
Today, urllo transforms the concept of URL redirection from a niche utility into a comprehensive suite of enterprise-grade tools designed to meet the growing complexity of today’s digital infrastructure, Richards says. These tools “save IT and marketing teams hundreds of hours and thousands of dollars annually by simplifying and automating critical connection management tasks and workflows.”
But this evolved concept was not exemplified by “EasyRedir.”
“‘Redir’ only scratched the surface of what we now offer and ‘Easy’ didn’t capture the depth of what we could achieve for our customers,” the CEO explains.
The new identity reflects urllo’s expanded mission to secure and streamline every digital connection, ensuring infrastructure stability and adaptability for clients across industries, according to Richards. He says the new branding, boldly purple with the tagline “Every connection matters,” signals a dedication to maintaining connections without compromising performance.
“Ten years ago, we recognized a gap in URL management, which was crucial for digital infrastructure but was often overlooked,” stated Richards. “Today, as urllo, we’re providing the innovative tools and expertise companies need to stay connected with their audiences.”
“This rebrand is our way of saying we’re ready to lead in this space for the next ten years and beyond,” he said.
