Showpass announced this week Brian Arnone as the company’s new chief strategy officer.
Bots and resellers are a problem for concert ticket buyers. As a solution, Calgary-based Showpass offers an event ticketing platform designed to enhance the fairness and accessibility of the purchasing process for real fans—whether a community sporting event or large-scale festival.
The newest executive member of Showpass, Arnone, boasts more than two decades in the event and ticketing technology industry space. His resume includes successful stints at both Ticketfly, Ticketmaster, and ShowClix.
Arnone says Showpass “is an extraordinary blend of cutting-edge technology and a deep passion for event organizers and fans.”

“This team isn’t just imagining the future—they’re building it,” the new chief of strategy stated. “Their commitment to listening, learning, and collaborating is evident in everything they do.”
Showpass has seen “tens of millions” of tickets sold in the past year through its platform across North America and the UK.
The company’s chief executive officer, Lucas McCarthy, believes that Arnone’s “vision, experience, and passion for innovation align perfectly with our mission to reignite the joy of live experiences for organizers and fans.”
“His arrival signals a new era for Showpass and the live event industry,” the CEO stated.
Last year, Showpass unveiled a new 30,000-square-foot headquarters in Calgary.
The generous space, which includes a 3,000-square-foot restaurant-grade kitchen, supported the regional community months later by offering refugees from the Jasper fires office space and meals.
Showpass launched from McCarthy’s basement in 2014, beginning as a virtual queuing service for restaurants before pivoting in 2016 to bring innovation to the ticket selling and event space.
