
Plug and Play Alberta will host its Spring 2025 Expo on Thursday, May 22, at the Sam Centre in Calgary. The event will highlight developments in technology across sectors, including health, sustainability, artificial intelligence, and food and beverage. Attendees can explore exhibits and presentations from startups in the Plug and Play Alberta Spring Batch 2025.
Startups presenting at the Expo will showcase solutions in AI, machine learning, and IoT across the participating industries. Attendees will hear directly from these startups, gaining insight into the technology that’s shaping industries worldwide.
“Expo is an opportunity for startups to showcase their technology and connect with the Plug and Play ecosystem,” said Lindsay Smylie, Director at Plug and Play Canada. “It’s inspiring to see founders, corporations, and investors come together to explore ideas and forge the kind of partnerships that move innovation forward.”
The full-day event will open with keynotes from Saeed Amidi, Founder and CEO of Plug and Play, and Mark Blackwell, General Partner and COO at Builders VC. Their expertise in venture capital is sure to set the stage for a forward-looking conversation.
Attendees can explore specialized expos within the event, including the Food & Beverage Expo and Digital Health Expo, where Dr. Bavini Gohel from Alberta Health Services will present on Alberta’s leadership in healthcare sustainability. The Enterprise & AI Expo will highlight AI’s transformative role across industries, while the Sustainability Expo will showcase cleantech solutions addressing today’s environmental challenges.
The day will wrap up with a networking session, offering a unique chance to connect with fellow innovators, entrepreneurs, and industry professionals.
