Calgary-based Kathairos Solutions has ranked No. 1 on The Globe and Mail’s 2026 Report on Business list of Canada’s Top Growing Companies, posting three-year revenue growth of 16,379%.
The recognition highlights the rapid expansion of the company’s methane elimination technology, which now serves more than 3,000 well sites across North America, according to Kathairos.
Kathairos uses liquid nitrogen to replace the natural gas that powers pneumatic equipment at oil and gas facilities, eliminating routine methane venting from those devices. Its system operates without onsite electricity, making it suitable for remote locations.
“This ranking demonstrates that reducing emissions isn’t just good for the environment – it’s good for the economy too,” said Dick Brown, CEO and chairman.
Calgary.tech has followed the company’s expansion since its early commercial rollout. In March 2023, Kathairos outlined plans to deploy 1,000 methane elimination systems across Alberta, supported by $3.9 million from Prairies Economic Development Canada and $1.58 million from the Clean Resource Innovation Network.
That deployment has since translated into measurable emissions reductions. As Calgary.tech reported in June, Kathairos announced that its technology had cumulatively eliminated one million metric tonnes of carbon dioxide-equivalent emissions.
The company credits early trials with ExxonMobil, Ovintiv and Cenovus in 2022 with helping establish its technology. Adoption has since expanded across the United States, with operators deploying the system throughout their operations.
For Kathairos, the national ranking adds a commercial milestone to its emissions-reduction record, demonstrating the scale of demand for its Calgary-developed technology.
