Calgary will host its first TechExit.io conference on October 1, bringing technology founders, investors, operators, advisors, and potential acquirers to the BMO Centre.
This year’s agenda includes sessions on the financial architecture of an exit, Prairie technology roll-ups, post-acquisition earn-outs, building competitive moats, and life after selling a company.
TechExit.io Calgary will be chaired by Marcos Lopez, CEO of CreditApp and former CEO of Solium Capital. Lopez helped turn the Calgary software company into the global equity-management platform Shareworks before leading its $1.1-billion acquisition by Morgan Stanley in 2019.
The speaker lineup features founders and executives with firsthand experience building, buying, and selling technology companies. Participants include Bobbie Racette of Virtual Gurus and Tapwi, Brett Durante of CoolIT Systems, Jody Conrad of Krux Analytics, and Tate Hackert of ZayZoon.
