Calgary’s fintech community will have a fresh opportunity to connect this fall when Fintech Cadence brings its Fintech Social series back to the city.
Fintech Social Calgary takes place Thursday, September 17, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Hudsons Canada’s Pub in downtown Calgary.
The gathering is designed as a relaxed alternative to traditional conferences and pitch-driven networking events. Rather than filling the evening with presentations, organizers are creating space for founders, developers, investors, financial-services professionals, and people curious about fintech to meet and exchange ideas.
Attendees can expect informal conversations with people working to change how Canadians move, manage, and experience money. For Calgary’s growing innovation community, the social offers another venue where an introduction could lead to a future partnership, investment, customer relationship, or new venture.
The event is hosted by Fintech Cadence, a national nonprofit that supports fintech talent and early-stage companies while connecting founders with financial institutions and other members of the ecosystem. Mastercard and Scotiabank are supporting the event as champion partners, with Finnovate.io participating as an event partner.
Fintech Social Calgary is open to established members of the industry as well as newcomers looking to learn more about financial innovation. Organizers are encouraging attendees to leave the polished elevator pitches behind and come ready for approachable conversations with Calgary’s fintech builders and supporters.
The event will be held at Hudsons Canada’s Pub at 1201 5 Street SW. Registration is available online.
