Avenue’s annual Innovation Event takes place on June 14th at Platform Calgary with innovators, founders, entrepreneurs, and tech enthusiasts invited to take part.
This year’s event feature a panel discussion on women in tech and leadership, and sessions on Executive Leadership Through Psychedelics and Disrupting Disruption: How to Restart Startup Culture.
The event’s keynote will cover venture capital funding in Alberta and feature Leah Sarich and James Lochrie of Thin Air Labs for a discussion on the future of the Alberta innovation ecosystem, the rise of “soonicorns” in Calgary and why Thin Air Labs Fund 1 is focused specifically on investing in early-stage, entrepreneur-led innovation and technology ventures located in the prairies.
The program will be followed by the popular Food of the Future display and cocktail hour.
