In 2015, Microsoft launched Power BI.
Part of the tech titan’s Power Platform, the “BI” product offers interactive data visualization software focused on—you guessed it—business intelligence.
A company out of Calgary is rethinking business insights, combining Power BI with its own tech to offer a web-based Business Intelligence Portal.
“We believe Power BI can be made better by simplifying and improving the end-user experience, scaling access, and reducing technical and administrative complexity,” reads the mission statement of The Reporting Hub. “Our goal is to enable organizations to maximize the value of their data, analytics and business intelligence.”
Delivering business insights into the hands of everyone should be easy, the upstart posits—cost and complexity shouldn’t be points of friction.
Reporting Hub’s pre-built white label application deploys to Azure and allows users to instantly deliver Power BI “in a more efficient and simplified manner,” according to the company. The web app is turnkey, RH says, and fully customizable.
The Reporting Hub is among a list of handpicked companies set to pitch to an audience of investors and tech enthusiasts when the Launch Party of Innovation Week YYC brings together the city’s most promising tech startups at Big Four Roadhouse.
Others vying for the crown at the forthcoming event include BigGeo, Job Autopilot, moovez, ResVR, Scholarships Cafe, SitePhotos Canada, TechJutsu, Binoloop, and TraceRent.
The Reporting Hub was founded in 2016.
