Calgary’s Modular Solutions has closed a seed round led by Tailwind Ventures, with participation from a strategic industry partner and a syndicate of private investors, including Clear North Capital.
According to Tailwind Ventures, the raise ranks as the fifth-largest seed-stage financing for an insurtech company in North America since 2023, and achieved the second-highest pre-money valuation for a seed deal in the sector.
Modular Solutions (previously know as Nude Solutions) delivers configurable, next-generation insurance software designed to replace siloed legacy systems. Its platform helps insurers and brokers improve operational efficiency, financial performance, and customer experience by automating critical workflows.
The new capital will be used to streamline client onboarding, accelerate platform enhancements, and invest in artificial intelligence capabilities.
“This capital raise marks a pivotal moment for Modular,” said Braden Bosch, Founder and CEO. “We’ve brought an innovative solution to market, and with this investment, we can maintain affordability and continue optimizing our offering.”
Tailwind Ventures CEO Darren Engels praised the company’s trajectory: “Braden and the team are building transformative solutions for an industry in desperate need of innovation. Our capital partners share our conviction that Modular will deliver.”
Engels added that Tailwind’s structured approach, called “diligent preparedness,” is designed to position companies for growth and investment-readiness: “Better businesses go on to withstand the scrutiny of due diligence, secure capital, and generate returns for shareholders.”
Cody Church, Director at Clear North Capital, echoed that confidence. “We were honoured to invest in Modular and are excited to watch its evolution. Braden was strategic in selecting local venture partners who add significant strategic value.”
Bosch remains the majority shareholder and says the company’s mission remains unchanged: “We’re committed to enabling the best insurance experience in the world.”
