Three Calgary-founded companies have been selected for the C100’s prestigious 2026 Fellows Cohort, one of Canada’s most exclusive programs for early-stage founders aiming to build globally dominant companies. The announcement reinforces Calgary’s growing reputation as a launchpad for world-class innovation across health tech, AI, fintech, and real estate.
For more than 15 years, the C100 Fellows program — formerly known as 48Hrs — has connected standout Canadian founders with Silicon Valley’s tight-knit community of builders, operators, and investors. Participants gain access to intensive mentorship, an immersive growth-mindset environment, and a global network that has helped shape some of Canada’s most successful technology companies.
The 2025 cohort brings together 20 founders innovating in sectors including precision medicine, robotics, construction, climate tech, software, and healthcare. Among them are three Calgary companies advancing some of Canada’s boldest ideas:
Nimble Science
Nimble Science is a precision medicine company redefining how clinicians and researchers understand gut health. Its SIMBA GI Platform uses an ingestible capsule to collect rich multi-omic data from an area of the gastrointestinal tract previously inaccessible. The platform enables clinicians, drug developers, and consumer product companies to make data-driven decisions and personalize treatments at scale.
OraQ AI
OraQ AI is transforming modern dentistry by unifying fragmented dental and medical data into a single AI-powered clinical intelligence platform. The system provides clear risk insights and treatment recommendations that improve clinical consistency and patient outcomes. By creating a seamless intelligence layer across dental practices, OraQ AI is helping standardize care in an industry long challenged by data silos.
Virtuo
Virtuo is a home-journey platform used by builders and brokers to guide clients from contract to move-in and beyond. Combining human concierge support with AI automation, Virtuo centralizes tools, communications, and workflows into one experience. The result: increased efficiency, lower operational costs, stronger referral networks, and a smoother homeowner experience.
A Calgary Alum Also Makes the List
MedEssist — now based in Toronto but originally from Calgary — also earned a spot in the cohort. Its platform enables pharmacies worldwide to deliver clinical services traditionally associated with medical clinics. Using in-house AI infrastructure, pharmacies can treat a range of acute conditions, including UTIs, birth control, and travel health needs, allowing them to evolve beyond the limitations of the conventional retail pharmacy model.
