Foresight Canada is taking its regional cleantech celebrations national. Building on the momentum of its British Columbia, Alberta, and Atlantic Canada Cleantech Awards, the organization has launched its most ambitious initiative yet: the Canadian Cleantech Awards.
The new national program is designed to recognize the innovators, adopters, funders, and ecosystem builders accelerating Canada’s transition to a low-carbon economy. By expanding beyond regional showcases, Foresight aims to bring greater visibility to the companies and partners driving impact across the entire country—including Alberta’s rapidly scaling carbon-tech and clean-industry leaders.
Set for May 2026 in Kelowna, BC, the inaugural event goes beyond the traditional awards format. Foresight is positioning the gathering as an immersive networking experience, complete with a golf tournament and a sustainability-focused wine tour—programming built to spark new business relationships and deal-flow while spotlighting commercialization opportunities across the cleantech value chain.
Nominations are now open to companies, organizations, and individuals from all sectors of the Canadian cleantech ecosystem. Foresight encourages submissions from across the country, with winners to be recognized on a national stage.
Alberta companies have historically made a strong showing. Last year’s Alberta Cleantech Awards, hosted at the Inventures 2025 conference in Calgary, recognized several standout innovators, including Ayrton Energy (Startup Venture of the Year), Nanoprecise (Scaleup Venture of the Year), and Emissions Reduction Alberta (Funder of the Year).
As Canada’s cleantech economy accelerates, the new national awards aim to unify regional strengths—and highlight the companies turning climate innovation into economic growth.
