The Smart Sustainable Resilient Infrastructure Association (SSRIA) is bringing Alberta’s construction and climate-tech communities together this month for the capstone event of its Business Growth Program: the Smart Sustainable Tech Showcase: Final Showcase.
Taking place Wednesday, November 26, 2025, from 4:00pm to 6:30pm at Platform Calgary, the event will feature a pitch competition and networking reception highlighting made-in-Alberta technologies designed to reduce carbon waste across the built environment.
The showcase immediately follows Materials That Matter: Sustainable Construction in Alberta, a full-day program co-hosted by SSRIA and Emissions Reduction Alberta (ERA).
Top ventures emerging from SSRIA’s Business Growth Program will take the stage to present innovations spanning advanced insulation, mass timber foundations, circular economy materials, and other high-impact solutions aimed at decarbonizing construction. These companies will pitch not only for recognition but also for the chance to secure commercial pilot opportunities with leading architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) firms.
SSRIA, Alberta’s leading non-profit dedicated to accelerating resilient, low-carbon infrastructure, created the Business Growth Program to help cleantech ventures bridge the gap between prototype and commercial adoption. By connecting startups with customers, investors, and industry champions, the organization continues to advance a more sustainable and competitive provincial economy.
The November showcase represents the final gathering for this year’s cohort — and a chance for industry leaders and cleantech enthusiasts to see firsthand the innovation driving Alberta’s next generation of sustainable construction.
