Calgary-based TechJutsu is tackling one of the weakest links in enterprise security: identity verification during support calls.
The company today announced the launch of its Caller Verify Universal Connector, a browser extension that enables organizations to trigger multi-factor authentication (MFA) inside any web application without requiring native integrations.
Designed for Chrome and Edge, the tool allows support agents to verify a caller’s identity in real time by sending an MFA prompt directly to the user’s registered device. Once approved, the system confirms verification within the same browser window, allowing agents to safely proceed with high-risk actions such as password resets or account recovery.
The launch comes amid a sharp rise in vishing attacks, which surged 442% in 2024, according to CrowdStrike. These attacks increasingly exploit help desks, where identity checks are often still based on outdated knowledge-based questions that are easily compromised.
TechJutsu CEO Tracey Nyholt says the Universal Connector replaces these legacy methods with stronger, real-time identity assurance. By embedding MFA directly into everyday tools like ServiceNow, Salesforce, Slack, and Microsoft Teams, the platform closes security gaps without adding friction to workflows.
Beyond security, the company says the solution can reduce support call times, with MFA approvals typically completed in under 10 seconds, while also creating auditable verification logs for compliance.
Available now via the Chrome Web Store, the Universal Connector reflects a broader shift toward Zero Trust security models, extending modern authentication practices into voice-based support channels.
