Calgary’s startup community will have the chance to hear from one of the city’s leading fintech founders this week.
Tech Thursday is hosting Nic Beique: The Builder CEO on Thursday, May 28th at OFFSITE YYC. The free event begins at 4:30 p.m. and will feature Nic Beique, founder and CEO of Helcim, in a conversation about company building, leadership, and scaling from Calgary.
Founded in Calgary, Helcim has grown into one of the city’s standout fintech companies, providing payment processing technology for small and medium-sized businesses across Canada and the United States.
Beique, who was the lead developer on Helcim’s first software launch, has been recognized as an EY Entrepreneur Of The Year Prairies Technology category winner and a member of Avenue Calgary’s Top 40 Under 40.
The event is part of Tech Thursday’s ongoing programming for Calgary’s technology and entrepreneurial community. Hosted at OFFSITE YYC, the session offers founders, operators, investors, and tech workers an opportunity to learn from a Calgary-built company that has scaled in the highly competitive payments sector.
