Wagepoint Launches New Growth Program for Accounting Firms

July 20, 2026 by Newsdesk Leave a Comment

Calgary-based payroll software provider Wagepoint has launched a new partner program designed to help Canadian accountants and bookkeepers turn payroll services into a larger part of their businesses.

Called WagePro+, the program rewards firms as the number of clients they manage through Wagepoint increases. Its five tiers—Starter, Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum—adjust automatically based on each firm’s sub-client count, with additional resources becoming available at higher levels.

Wagepoint says the program responds to a growing opportunity for accounting professionals as small businesses seek more help navigating payroll and regulatory requirements.

Citing research from the Canadian Federation of Independent Business, the company noted that Canadian small business owners lose approximately 32 working days each year to regulatory compliance. Wagepoint believes that burden is causing more entrepreneurs to rely on accountants and bookkeepers for payroll support.

A central component of WagePro+ is the new Wagepoint Partner Directory, a searchable national database connecting small businesses with accounting professionals offering payroll services. Eligible firms can join the directory at no cost.

The program also offers co-marketing funds, certification opportunities, Continuing Professional Development-eligible training, and partner-exclusive resources. Higher-tier firms receive faster support service levels and access to payroll specialists.

Partners are also given a complimentary Wagepoint payroll subscription for their own firm, allowing them to become familiar with the platform before moving clients onto it.

“We want to be the partner Canadian practices choose because we help them grow, not just because we process their payroll,” said Wagepoint CEO Ben Richmond.

WagePro+ follows several recent investments in Wagepoint’s partner ecosystem. Earlier this year, the Calgary company introduced WagePAC, its first Partner Advisory Council, to give accountants and bookkeepers a voice in product development.

Wagepoint has also released Timesheets and the My Wagepoint mobile app as it expands its platform for Canadian small businesses and the professionals supporting them.

WagePro+ and the Wagepoint Partner Directory are now available to Canadian accountants and bookkeepers.
