Calgary-based EMeRG is putting hospital-level intelligence at the centre of MedTech strategy with the launch of Hospital Intel Suite, a global software platform designed to help healthcare companies identify commercial opportunities and bring new technologies to market.
The platform combines data on hospital infrastructure, installed technologies and clinical capabilities with hundreds of other variables in one place. EMeRG says this gives commercial teams a clearer view of where their products could be needed, which hospitals are most likely to adopt them and when existing equipment may be due for replacement.
Enhanced by artificial intelligence and predictive analytics, Hospital Intel Suite covers more than 130,000 hospitals and over 200 medical device and health technology categories. It is intended to help customers quantify market opportunities, identify high-potential hospitals and anticipate demand, adoption patterns and capital replacement cycles.
“The biggest blind spot in MedTech wasn’t market intelligence. It was hospital intelligence,” said EMeRG founder and CEO Krishanu Bhattacharjee.
The new platform is the result of seven years of research spanning more than 65 countries. Its roots go back to HospeTrack, an earlier hospital intelligence product introduced by EMeRG in 2018.
As the underlying data and research expanded, the Calgary company developed the product beyond hospital profiles to include market sizing, installed-base intelligence, opportunity mapping and broader market analytics. Hospital Intel Suite brings those capabilities together as a single decision-support platform.
The software is aimed primarily at medical technology companies, but EMeRG also sees applications for investors, consulting firms and other healthcare innovators. The platform can help users assess markets, monitor competing technologies, examine medical procedures and identify hospitals or regions with potential demand.
EMeRG says the platform can also support startups, universities, incubators and innovation organizations as they validate markets, seek pilot sites and prepare products for commercialization.
“Our goal is to simplify commercial intelligence,” said EMeRG COO Tanuja Khanolkar.
The launch gives EMeRG a global product built from its Calgary headquarters. The company describes itself as a MedTech research and advisory firm that uses proprietary research, analytics and hospital intelligence to help customers evaluate opportunities and accelerate commercialization.
Hospital Intel Suite is now available globally. EMeRG plans to continue expanding its hospital coverage, predictive capabilities, medical technology categories and AI-supported decision tools.
