Beckhoff Automation has opened a new Calgary office, expanding its Western Canadian presence with a local base for sales, application engineering, and customer training.
The 2,900-square-foot space at 48 Quarry Park Boulevard SE is the automation and PC-based control technology company’s fourth Canadian location. It joins Beckhoff Canada’s headquarters in Cambridge, Ontario, and regional offices in Laval, Quebec, and Burnaby, British Columbia.
The Calgary office will support machine builders, system integrators, and process operators across Alberta, giving the company’s existing provincial sales team a dedicated space to connect with customers.
“Alberta has become an important part of our business, and opening an office in Calgary allows us to work alongside the customers and partners we serve in the province,” said Calvin Wallace, President of Beckhoff Canada. “The new space also gives us a place to bring them together for seminars, technology demonstrations, and hands-on experiences with Beckhoff technologies.”
Since opening its Western Region Sales and Training Centre in Burnaby in 2021, Beckhoff has used that location to serve customers in Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and the Northwest Territories. The Calgary expansion adds a closer point of contact for its Alberta customers.
Beckhoff marked the opening with two days of customer and partner events. An October 20 Technology Day featured live demonstrations in control, motion, AI, and energy management, followed by a grand opening celebration.
A hands-on Process Automation Seminar followed on October 21, with experts demonstrating how to connect field devices to plant-wide systems.
“Our first events gave us a chance to welcome people into the office and show them what it can offer. We look forward to hosting many more as we continue to grow in Alberta,” said Wallace.
