Calgary-based market research startup Cashew has been named Best Enterprise Company at TechCrunch Disrupt 2025, one of the world’s most influential startup conferences.
Co-founded by Addy Graves and Rose Wong, Cashew is reimagining how brands gather consumer insights — building a faster, more inclusive, and more accessible model for market research.
The company’s platform enables real-time data collection and decision-making for organizations of all sizes, challenging an industry long dominated by legacy players and traditional processes.
“For us, this recognition isn’t just about the win. It’s about what it represents,” Cashew shared on LinkedIn. “That innovation can come from asking the right question. That market research can move faster, be more inclusive, and empower every brand — not just the Fortune 500. And that two Canadian women can build something that challenges how an entire industry operates.”
The founders launched Cashew with a simple question: Is there another way to do market research? Their win at TechCrunch Disrupt is proof that there is — and that the future of insight generation is being shaped by Calgary innovators.
Pitch competition accolades are nothing new for Cashew. Earlier this year the AI-driven market research platform emerged as the top-funded startup at DMZ’s Women Innovation Summit, securing $190,000 in investments from DMZ Ventures ($150,000) and The Firehood ($40,000).
Cashew’s victory marks another milestone for Alberta’s growing tech ecosystem and a proud moment for Canadian women in technology.
