Calgary-based Verano.AI has been named to the 2026 RegTech100, an annual list recognizing the world’s most innovative companies transforming risk, compliance, and regulatory operations.
The ranking is compiled by RegTech Analyst and evaluated by an international panel of industry experts. More than 1,400 companies were considered this year, with selections based on technological innovation, commercial traction, and potential impact on how compliance is managed globally.
Verano.AI was selected for its agentic AI platform, which the company says automates more than 90 percent of end-to-end compliance workflows. These include regulatory horizon scanning, obligations mapping, policy and control linkage, gap analysis, audit preparation, and real-time risk reporting. Verano adds that its large language model–driven value layer and document parsing engine can reduce compliance processes that traditionally take weeks or months down to hours or minutes.
“Our inclusion in the RegTech100 reflects the progress we’re seeing as AI becomes central to how organizations manage regulatory complexity,” said Clay Swerdelian, CEO of Verano.AI. “Customers are looking for solutions that move beyond manual compliance tracking and into continuous, real-time risk management.”
The company is scaling through partnerships with firms including Deloitte and ServiceNow, and is preparing to list its platform on the AWS Marketplace. Verano says early customers across Canada and the U.S. are reporting significant efficiency gains and improved audit readiness.
Founded in Calgary, Verano.AI was also named A100’s One to Watch at the Start Alberta Tech Awards in 2025, as it continues to expand its presence in regulated industries.
