Calgary-based agtech startup CropMind has been named to the 2026 Google for Startups Accelerator: Canada, joining a national cohort of 14 artificial intelligence ventures.
The announcement came from Iran Karamian, who leads Google’s accelerator and startup ecosystem efforts in Canada.
CropMind builds AI-powered crop intelligence tools that turn simple field imagery into yield forecasts, disease detection, and operational insights for fruit growers — helping producers make faster, data-driven decisions.
“CropMind is at a pivotal stage,” said Co-Founder and CEO Damilare Odumosu. “We’re transitioning our AI-powered crop intelligence platform from successful pilots to full commercial rollout across Canada and the U.S. We see the program as a catalyst to compress our learning curve and strengthen both technical robustness and market execution discipline.”
During the 10-week program, founders work directly with Google experts to sharpen strategy, scale AI systems, and build relationships with investors and partners. Companies also gain early access to Google AI products, mentorship, Cloud credits, and Cloud TPUs.
Google’s accelerator programs have become a proven launchpad for Canadian startups. Since 2020, participating companies have raised more than $580 million CAD and created over 1,400 jobs.
The cohort will showcase their progress at a Google-hosted Demo Day during Toronto Tech Week in May.
