Calgary’s Nanalysis Reveals a Quantum Collab and Secures $1M to Expand Market Reach

June 25, 2026 by Knowlton Thomas Leave a Comment

Nanalysis Scientific has secured funding alongside an expanded collaboration with a key partner.

The Calgary-based company, which trades on the TSXV as NSCI, develops and manufactures benchtop Nuclear Magnetic Resonance spectrometers that are used worldwide for applications across pharmaceuticals, biotech, energy, food, materials, and security, as well as by academia and government.

Nanalysis is working with NVision Quantum Technologies, a Germany-based firm with expertise in engineering quantum properties of organic molecules that is aiming to support more effective drug development and earlier disease assessment.

The Alberta innovator is supporting NVision’s commercialization efforts by providing quality control solution for its POLARIS platform.

As POLARIS moves toward broader market adoption, Nanalysis’ solutions play an important role in supporting scalability and maintaining high-quality standards across deployments, according to Sean Krakiwsky, founder and chief executive officer of the Canadian company.

“These developments demonstrate the increasing relevance of Nanalysis’ technology and expertise across several high-growth markets,” says Krakiwsky.

“From enabling next-generation quantum sensing applications and advancing interoperable MRI innovation, to securing new service contracts and strengthening our balance sheet, we continue to execute on our strategy of building a diversified technology company with multiple growth drivers,” the entrepreneur stated.

Krakiwsky says another partner is IMRIS. Based in the US, IMRIS selected Nanalysis last year as a critical component supplier.

Beyond partnerships, Nanalysis garnered $1 million from Prairies Economic Development Canada’s Regional Tariff Response Initiative to help enhance strategic competitiveness.

Eleanor Olszewski, Minister responsible for Prairies Economic Development Canada, says the federal government is “investing in Alberta businesses that drive innovation and create good jobs.”

“By investing in Calgary-based Nanalysis, we are strengthening our supply chains, supporting growth in global markets, and reinforcing Alberta’s leadership in advanced technology,” she remarked, “helping to build a more competitive economy while creating new opportunities for workers here at home.”

Alberta, says Calgary member of parliament Corey Hogan, “is playing an increasingly important role in Canada’s health, energy, environmental, and food sectors, and Calgary-based Nanalysis demonstrates the talent, expertise, and drive to scale-up innovative solutions.”

The investment “will help this innovative company strengthen its resilience by diversifying supply chains and expanding their market reach,” he said.

Nanalysis also recently unveiled the appointment of Heather Kury as chief financial officer.

“Heather has already made significant contributions to Nanalysis during her time as Interim CFO,” Krakiwsky noted, “and we are pleased to welcome her to the role on a permanent basis.”

“Her financial leadership and operational experience will be valuable as we continue executing our growth strategy,” he said.

Founded in 2009, Nanalysis went public in 2019.
