Platform Calgary has unveiled the 10 early-stage companies selected for this year’s Launch Party Top 10, its annual snapshot of some of the city’s most promising emerging startups.
The 2026 finalists span agriculture, artificial intelligence, financial technology, legal technology, workforce development, health and energy:
- Agrivanna combines solar-powered GPS collars, virtual fencing and satellite imagery to help livestock producers manage grazing operations.
- Black Owl Systems offers automated lease-accounting software for corporate finance teams.
- Candidly AI uses self-hosted voice AI to conduct secure, adaptive stakeholder interviews at scale.
- Fledge provides parents and educators with practical tools designed to help young people build emotional resilience.
- Leeg is developing a workforce intelligence platform that helps organizations understand and deploy employee capabilities.
- Made It Legal uses AI to accelerate contract reviews, redlining and approvals for enterprise legal teams.
- Paradigm Inputs provides independent agricultural-input brokers with commerce, quoting, billing and agronomic intelligence tools.
- Splice N Connect manufactures sensors that monitor electrical cable splices and terminations to help predict failures.
- Verano.AI automates regulatory monitoring and compliance workflows for highly regulated industries.
- Waypoint Budget is a personal finance app built around Canadian accounts and financial needs.
Several of the finalists have previously appeared on Calgary.tech.
Agrivanna was among the student-led ventures featured at the University of Calgary’s Start Something Summit earlier this year. Calgary.tech has also followed Splice N Connect, which closed a $1.75-million pre-seed round to advance its grid-monitoring technology.
Verano.AI was named to the 2026 RegTech100, while Waypoint was profiled in March after the bootstrapped budgeting platform surpassed 1,000 users.
The finalists will be showcased in the lead-up to Launch Party on November 5, when more than 1,000 founders, technology professionals, investors and business leaders are expected to gather during Calgary Innovation Week.
Now in its 16th year, Launch Party is designed to introduce the community to high-potential local companies while connecting their founders with potential customers, collaborators and investors.
