To celebrate the Calgary Surge‘s season opener, Platform Calgary is hosting #YYCTechSurge on May 21st.
The collaborative event with the Canada Elite Basketball League (CEBL) basketball team will showcase the innovation, creativity, and vibrancy of Calgary’s tech sector.
At the Calgary Surge season opener an entire broadcast-visible section at Scotiabank Saddledome has been reserved for various organizations connected to Calgary’s tech community.
#YCCTechSurge will start with a pre-game tailgate at Platform Innovation Centre followed by a group walk to the Scotiabank Saddledome for jump ball at 7pm.
“At Platform Calgary, we work to build community, and we thank the Calgary Surge for opening their doors to Calgary innovators,” said Terry Rock, President and CEO of Platform Calgary.
“Through this partnership we are telling the stories of Calgary’s tech community and showcasing the vibrancy and connections that only Calgary can offer.”
The event follows the Neo Financial announcement that they are the official financial partner of the CEBL.
“We’re thrilled to be the official financial partner of the CEBL,” said Andrew Chau, Co-Founder and CEO at Neo Financial.
“At Neo, we’re excited to grow alongside one of Canada’s fastest growing sports leagues. Through this partnership with the CEBL, we’ll be able to bring better financial experiences to more Canadians.”
