New Idea Machine is offering a free bootcamp that will teach attendees how to build an app prototype—without coding.
The Calgary-born software development agency, founded in 2016, is collaborating with the Calgary Innovation Coalition on the local event.
Supported by Alberta Innovates’ Regional Innovation Network program, the Coalition is a group of regional organizations that support innovation-driven entrepreneurs and startups.
Their three-day, in-person bootcamp—which is titled “Learn Vibe Coding: Build Your Real-World MVP Prototype”—is slated for late October and early November.
That’s when experts will help future entrepreneurs learn minimum viable product strategy and build a guided prototype in a supportive group setting.
Over are the days of spending months and money on MVP development, according to the experts from New Idea Machine. Their workshop will show how, in the emerging era of “vibe coding,” builders can create “something simple but real enough to show the idea of your product to testers and investors.”
The hands-on workshop will be led by Al Del Degan, the founder of NIM.
A longtime coding veteran whose career spans nearly three decades, Del Degan is these days focused on pioneering AI-assisted development, building enterprise-ready applications for his client portfolio.
Del Degan’s bootcamp promises to leave attendees with the “entrepreneurial confidence” to create and validate technology-enabled business ideas as well as new skills in AI-driven market research to better understand user needs user-centric design—all while connecting with other like-minded locals.
