Huumans and Zenbooks Collab to Empower Entrepreneurs in Canada with Fintech Tools

November 27, 2025 by Knowlton Thomas Leave a Comment

A Calgary-based financial operating system for small- and medium-sized businesses announced recently that it is working with a Canadian online accounting firm to empower entrepreneurs across the country with “real financial relief and tools that make their day-to-day easier.”

Alberta’s Huumans revealed the integration with Ottawa’s Zenbooks, which provides modern bookkeeping, accounting, advisory, and compliance services to business owners.

“Small businesses carry enough pressure as it is,” says Maher Jaber, chief executive officer of Huumans, which provides an all-in-one hub for entrepreneurial and financial decision-making.

“They need tools and support that actually lighten the load,” Jaber says.

Moving forward, Zenbooks is an advisor partner, according to Jaber, which “means that small businesses have access to their expertise, and Zenbooks can also help us shape our technology and approach so that we offer the best functionality and value.”

Zenbooks cofounder Eric Saumure suggests that, while technology “can automate many things like payroll, entrepreneurs also need human expertise and better ways to see the big picture.”

“We put our clients at the centre of our processes, helping bring focus and clarity to financial management,” Saumure explains. “You can calculate a salary, but you still need to understand everything that goes into it and how payroll affects the company as a whole.”

As could be suggested by the name, Huumans “is about making connections,” according to Kyle Stinson, who heads partnerships for the upstart.

“Inside our small business dashboard, in addition to accessing tools and tech, business owners can also access an upcoming provider directory to find advisors like Zenbooks,” Stinson notes.

With partners like Zenbooks, Stinson says, “we’re bridging gaps and giving entrepreneurs a single destination for helpful technology and human support.”

Huumans was founded in Halifax in 2021.

Saumure launched Zenbooks in 2017.
