Calgary’s tech ecosystem will begin the year with the return of Tech Talent Tuesdays, a free, bi-weekly series focused on strengthening the city’s technology workforce.
The January 20th event, Calgary Workforce Advantage Edition, will outline plans for the year ahead while sharing early insights from private industry roundtables held with local tech employers.
The series is a collaboration between Platform Calgary, Calgary Economic Development, and Careers in Technology and Innovation, with support from the Government of Alberta through the Labour Market Development Agreement.
Organizers say Tech Talent Tuesdays is designed to connect employer priorities with community learning, using events, surveys, and feedback to generate labour market insights that shape future programming and contribute to an annual workforce report.
This year’s first roundtable included companies such as Ambyint, Arcurve, ATB Financial, Blackline Safety, Helcim, Neo Financial, Infosys, and GeologicAI.
Speakers include Jennifer Lussier, interim CEO of Platform Calgary; Sharmin Surani of Calgary Economic Development; and Zachary Novak, CEO of Careers in Technology and Innovation. Registration is now open.
