With Web Summit Vancouver fast approaching, host Casey Lau is hitting the road — starting in Calgary — to offer a sneak peek at the event and share tips on how startups and investors can make the most of it.
On Tuesday, May 6th Calgary’s startup community will gather to hear Lau outline what Web Summit’s first Canadian event means for local entrepreneurs, and how it can open doors to global investment, exposure, and partnerships.
The evening event will feature a panel discussion with prominent venture capitalists Patrick Lor (Panache Ventures) and Irfhan Rawji (Relay Ventures and Realize Capital Partners), who will share insights on scaling Calgary-born startups to international markets like the Bay Area.
Attendees will also get a preview of Calgary startups set to showcase at Web Summit Vancouver, followed by an evening of networking drinks and new connections.
Through a collaboration with the University of Calgary’s Hunter Hub of Entrepreneurial Thinking, Calgary.tech is featuring local startups that are attending Web Summit Vancouver. Read more about them here.
