AI-Powered Broker Looks to Redefine Real Estate Operations in Alberta and Beyond

March 27, 2024 by Knowlton Thomas Leave a Comment

Michael Montgomery’s start in real estate was rocky to say the least.

“When I started out in real estate, I struggled badly,” he recalls.

After only a year in the industry, Montgomery quit.

“I hung up my license and found a day job,” he said.

But the day job life wasn’t for him, he realized.

Montgomery returned to real estate a year later—and, this time equipped with “newly acquired business acumen, confidence, and motivation,” the entrepreneur formed a brokerage, Renzo Real Estate, in Calgary.

The business, which Montgomery launched alongside his wife Willemina, experienced consistent growth year-over-year.

After battle-testing “every marketing tactic, every relationship building skill, every communications strategy—and made every mistake imaginable,” Montgomery founded Rev Real Estate School, a data-driven online training platform focused on helping agents reach up to 100 transactions per year while working 5 days per week.

This year, Montgomery has launched a new tech-forward platform alongside Jessica Lawton-Bonello, who hails from Properly, a Canadian proptech company  acquired by Compass in 2023.

The platform, Revvie, features a “custom AI broker,” which leverages artificial intelligence “to redefine the way real estate brokerages operate, providing personalized and intelligent 24/7 support to agents,” according to a statement from the startup.

“With the introduction of the Custom AI Broker, Revvie is set to handle 80% of agent questions, focusing on the repetitive questions brokers receive,” says Montgomery.

The Custom AI Broker & AI Real Estate Coach acts as a clone of a real estate broker or team leader. This digital twin of the broker provides real-time support and data-driven advice tailored to each agent’s unique needs, according to Revvie.

The AI model is trained specifically on real estate content and is fully customizable for brokerages and teams, Montgomery notes.

“Our platform provides agents with unparalleled support and guidance, enabling them to achieve greater success and deliver exceptional service to their clients while ensuring they remain compliant with local rules and regulations,” the entrepreneur said.

In a nutshell, Revvie is a way of “democratizing access to coaching for every agent and alleviating the immense workload of brokers,” according to the startup.
